Heather Ennis | Who am I?
A few facts about me…

• Grew up in a good Christian home
• Wonderful loving parents
• Christian education – my mom even was a teacher at my elementary school! I really loved that.
• My sister Holly and I are only 3 years apart, so she was my playmate growing up. She and I would sing all the time. Mostly while we were engaged in the household chores. My parents would enjoy a full rendition of the musical “Annie” while we were busy washing dishes.
• Katie is 12 years younger than me. Even though we were a bit too far apart in age to play as Holly and I had, I always loved her special as my baby sister. (That can actually cause problems when you start working together as a group and your baby sister isn’t a baby anymore, but we get through.)
• Kenny is our brother. I realize no one ever hears about him because he won’t sing with us (he could if he wanted, he has a very nice voice no matter what he says). He was as all little brothers are, full of spit and vinegar and sound effects.

We loved him, but wanted to smack him around a bit most of the time.
• I am married to a strong faithful man who makes it easy for me to be submissive to his decisions about our family because I can trust he is always submissive to God’s Will in our lives for our family. I cannot tell you the peace that gives me. Thank you Father God!
• My daughter is 9 years old going on 13 (why do they all do that?) She is my miracle child, my blessing from God.

I want to talk about why I do this. It is actually more of a challenge that anyone thinks. Not the music aspect of it, that is our blessing, singing comes easy to us and when we are singing it feels good, right and I just know it is God’s will in our lives to sing together. Why else would he have blessed us with three voices that go so well together? We even each have a different range and differing talents. Katie is our soprano, she is strongest in her upper ranges and has a unique character to her voice that helps her to stand out. She is also a fantastic song writer. God has blessed her with many songs, most of them fun and funky. Holly has a beautiful middle range with a smoothness and mellowness that really balances us out perfectly. Her song writing ability lies mostly in the ballad area, but she has sometimes surprised me with her funkiness. My talent lies in the lower ranges. I am by far the loudest of the three of us and also the longest winded. (My sisters may argue that those things are not necessarily blessings, but I love them anyway!) I am a good song writing helper...
